प्रो. श्रीयांशकुमार सिंघई  (21 अगस्त 1958)  जन्म- खुरई (सागर), मध्यप्रदेश केन्द्रीय संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय नई दिल्ली के जयपुर परिसर में कार्यरत आचार्य (जैनदर्शन विभाग) एवं संकाय प्रमुख प्रो. सिंघई जैनधर्म दर्शन के मर्मज्ञ विद्वान् एवं प्रखर प्रवचनकार हैं। प्राकृत- संस्कृत एवं हिन्दी में उनके अनेक शोध लेख एवं कई पुस्तकें प्रकाशित हैं। प्रो. सिंघई 1977 में जैनदर्शन को समझने के लिए जयपुर आये थे।  एतदर्थं उन्होंने उपाध्याय (1978), शास्त्री (1981), आचार्य (1983) परीक्षाओं को स्वर्ण पदक एवं रजत पदक प्राप्त करते हुए उत्तीर्ण किया।  1991 में राजस्थान विश्वविद्यालय जयपुर से इन्होंने संस्कृत भाषा में प्रस्तुत अपने शोध प्रबंध 'जैनकर्मसिद्धान्ते- बन्धमुक्तिप्रक्रिया' पर विद्यावारिधि (पीएच.डी. ) की उपाधि प्राप्त की।  वे 1984 से सतत जैन विद्या के अध्यापन अनुसंधान कार्य में संलग्न हैं। उनकी अभिरुचि आध्यात्मिक चिन्तन-मनन के साथ प्राचीन पाण्डुलिपियों के सम्पादन प्रकाशन के क्षेत्र में है, वे अपने शेष जीवन का उपयोग प्राकृत एवं संस्कृत वाङ्मय की अपूर्व निधि जैन विद्या विषयक पाण्डुलिपियो

Earliest Jina image in Indian Art from Lohanipur, Mauryan period, Patna भारतीय कला की प्राचीनतम जैन तीर्थंकर मूर्ति, लोहानीपुर, पटना, बिहार, मौर्य कालीन। "The earliest known Jina image, preserved in the Patna Museum, comes from Lohanipur (Patna, Bihar) and is datable to c. Third century BCE. The nudity and the kayotsarga-mudra, suggesting rigorous austerity, of the image were confined only to the Jinas. ....... The reference to the Kalinga Jina (image), once taken away by Nandaraja, and brought back by Kharavela (c. 24 BCE), in the Hathigumpha inscription of Kharavela (Khandagiri, near Bhuvaneshvar, Orissa) is also of special interest in this connection. Thus, the Jina image from Lohanipur and also the evidence of Hathigumpha inscription distinctly suggest that the antiquity of Jina may well be pushed back at least to c. 4th-3rd century BCE. How can we save Jainism? Jainism is not only the religion for Jains, it is a religion for Humanity. It is purely based on Non violence. It does not talk about any God, it respects all the liberated souls. Jainism is purely based on practice, so anyone can be Jain by Karma. It is not necessary that you need to practice it if you are Jain by birth. We see that now a days Jains are not following it , that is the biggest reason to decline Jainism, when a born Jain can not understand the value of born as a Jain, how can other understands. As per my thoughts below steps should be taken to save Jainism. Only only Jain but also each people who respect Nonviolence should come forward to save the humanity. Practice and Trust :  Make people especially who is born as a Jain to follow and understand the basic principles of Jainism, as following pure practice is not possible however at least we can follow it till some extent.
